Bibliometrics - (1) from biblio- = book; metrics = measurements. Relatively fine-grained measurements about publications, authors, etc. (2) from bibliome = complete corpus of biological texts; metrics = measurements. Relatively large-grained measurements about complete text corpora.

    • CITI and IRB issues
      • We will need IRB approval to work with data, even public data like SEER. This means getting "CITI" certification and submit applications for IRB approval.
        • Go to https://about.citiprogram.org/ which is where the "CITI" program is.
        • Click to go to "Select Your Organizational Affiliation" and find UALR.
        • You'll have to register at the site: see the "REGISTRATION" link
        • Ultimately take the online mini-course "RCR - Responsible Conduct of Research" and get the certificate of completion.

    • Update: thesis document is essentially finished being drafted.

    • It was suggested for people to present summaries of papers during meetings.
